The Proctor District is home to one of Washington State’s oldest movie theaters, the Blue Mouse Theater.
This facility, over 85 years in the same location, was saved 15 years ago by the Blue Mouse Associates (some call them Angels).
The Blue Mouse is everything that a small neighborhood movie theater should be: clean, well-run, great prices, and showing features that have just come from the ‘first run’ multi-screen chains.

The Proctor District is famous for its many and varied restaurants. Several of Tacoma’s most renowned restaurants is located here.
New restaurants have also claimed the Proctor District for their home in the last few years.
What type of restaurants are found here? American Standard, Mexican, Italian, more Italian, gourmet bistros, teriyaki, snack shops, and more.
Walk around for a while with an appetite, and pretty soon you’ll follow your nose to someplace great.
